PENANG Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo has hit the ground running – just days after returning to official duties following some 10 days of medical leave due to a range of afflictions.
The 53-year-old has made visits to factories and officiated programmes with federal ministers, as he makes up time for his leave due to medical conditions.
His aides revealed that Jagdeep wants to prove wrong his detractors’ claim that he is unwell.
Jagdeep is resolute in carrying out his duties, said the aides.
“It is especially pleasing to the state government, as Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is away on a trade and investment mission in the United States. So at least, all of his ex officios are around to help administer the state,” said the aides when contacted.
Jagdeep recently visited the Juru Garden Devi Sri Maha Mariamman Temple and donated RM3,000 to the nearby Juru Garden Tamil School for its education fund. – August 13, 2024.
