SARAWAK residents have been urged to proudly fly the Jalur Gemilang as the nation celebrates Merdeka Day tomorrow.

The Merdeka Day convoy organised by the National Information and Sarawak Information Departments covered many districts to proudly carry the national flag in a show of patriotism.

The delegation distributed flags to schools, villages, shops, and public and private sector offices along the route.

Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg and other state leaders have urged the rakyat to display their flags prominently.

“Sarawak will continue to play our role in the development of the country.

“We will play our roles as we are part of this country,” he said.

The state level Merdeka Day celebrations will be centred in Mukah town in central Sarawak. – August 30, 2024.
