POLICE received five reports of a concrete slab that fell onto the highway last night near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang.
KLIA district police chief Azman Shari'at said investigations at the scene revealed that eight cars and one motorcycle were involved in the accident around 8pm.
"A concrete chunk, believed to have been loaded onto a vehicle, possibly a lorry, fell onto the highway. It was relatively small, so vehicles passing through did not notice the object and collided with it," he said in a statement.
No fatalities or serious injuries were reported. A motorcyclist was lightly wounded.
Others involved in the crash are advised to file a police report at once.
"We also appeal for anyone with dashcam footage of the object falling from the vehicle or related footage to contact investigating officer Insp Arif Jantan at 013-640 4165 to assist in the investigation," he added. – September 12, 2024
