A Quick-thinking excavator driver helped rescue a man who may have otherwise been swept away by rising waters along the Sungai Klang riverbank last Friday.

A video of the incident which has since gone viral on social media shows the driver who was near the Pasar Seni MRT station moving in to help the stranded man.

With the water level rising, an excavator driver near the Pasar Seni MRT station moved in to help rescue the man.

In the video, the man is seen getting into the bucket while clutching a bag. The excavator then lifted him to safety and the man seen walking away to safe grounds.

Netizens have since praised the driver for coming to the rescue, while some questioned what the man was doing by the riverbank. - October 16, 2024
