A SEMESTER 1 student of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Puncak Alam died after collapsing on campus yesterday, reported the New Straits Times.

Sungai Buloh police chief, Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor, said they were alerted to the incident at 8.13 pm yesterday.

"The 20-year-old student reportedly collapsed at the Hotel and Tourism Faculty grounds at the Puncak Alam campus around 5 pm.

"He was immediately rushed to the UiTM Hospital at Puncak Alam for treatment. However, he died while receiving treatment," he said.

He said the body was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

"The cause of death will be identified once we receive the post-mortem report," he said, adding that the case has been classified as sudden death. - October 22, 2024
