A PHOTOGRAPH of a young man seen lying beside his mother's grave has left netizens moved with pity.

Su Ahmad who shared the photograph on Facebook, said she used to see the man, a FoodPanda delivery rider visiting his mother's grave daily.

"He would even bring along a packet of tea and sit by his mother's grave for a long time. This photo was taken the last time I saw him," she said.

Su Ahmad said the photo was taken at 6.30 pm about a month ago, just 30 minutes before the cemetery was about to close.

She would see the man turn up at the same spot every day without fail for several months.

Based on her family’s conversation with the man, they learnt that his mother was a nasi lemak seller in Bangi.

She died in a road accident slightly more than a month after Su’s husband was buried and this prompted him to visit her grave every day.

"When my children visited their father's grave every day, they got to know him. That's how they learned his story," she said.

Many netizens have since sympathised with the young man's loss and related to his grief. - November 28, 2024
