IN a recent TikTok video which has since gone viral, a woman shared how a gold bracelet she bought back in 2002 is now worth about nine times more.

According to fieshagold’s post, she bought the bracelet for RM2,314 and recently decided to check how much it is worth.

"I was shocked when the bracelet was now valued at RM18,718," she said.

According to reports, the price of gold has been hitting all-time highs this week, as investors snap up something that's often seen as a safe haven.

The gold frenzy comes as markets around the world continue to panic over US president Donald Trump's tariffs, which are widely expected to increase prices for consumers.

One netizen commented that this is why people should invest in gold unlike cash, which stays the same in value, gold appreciates significantly over time. – April 16, 2025
