THE security guard at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Tun Mustapha, Limauan, Linah Mansoding, 65, told the court that the head warden, known as Ustaz Azhari, was believed to have instructed the two students involved to clean the area after Zara Qairina was taken away in an ambulance.
“There's blood coming out of Zara's leg. They cleaned the area where Zara was moved after the ambulance left.
“A male security guard also helped by shining a flashlight for them.
"However, the bloodstains that have turned black can still be seen to this day," she said.
She said this while testifying before Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan, as the sixth witness in the inquest proceedings into the death of the Form One student at the Coroner's Court today.
Linah added the bloodstains found near the drain where Zara Qairina was originally discovered eventually disappeared due to heavy rain.
Previously, she told the court that she saw two students, a classmate, and Ustaz Azhari moving Zara Qairina.
At that time, he said, Zara Qairina was not wearing a headscarf, part of her upper body was exposed, and there were no slippers or shoes nearby.
Linah also saw blood flowing from the victim's neck and left leg, with bones protruding from the leg.
She said the incident was witnessed from the location where the 13-year-old student was found to the front of another warden's house near the school exit.
The witness also imitated the sound of gasping to describe Zara Qairina's reaction when she was trying to be startled while waiting for the ambulance, which only arrived after an hour.
Zara Qairina's family lawyer, Shahlan Jufri, asked why the student was transferred.
"I'm not sure, but they say they feel sorry for her (Zara Qairina)," he replied, adding that the area where Zara was found had been without electricity for two months.
He admitted that Ustaz Azhari had once asked him to delete the photos taken when Zara Qairina was first found.
"He asked me to delete it because he was worried it would spread if other students borrowed my phone," he said.
The image in question has been submitted as one of the pieces of evidence in the 17-day inquest proceedings. - September 12, 2025
