THE Form Three student who was reported to have fallen from the third floor of a boarding school hostel in Sabak Bernam has regained consciousness, according to a family member.

Ahmad Irfan Ahmad Hanafi, 15, had been receiving treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital following the incident on 26 August.

His uncle, Muhammad Aidil Mansor, 34, confirmed the news when contacted.

“Alhamdulillah. He is awake,” he said briefly in a WhatsApp message on Thursday.

Muhammad Aidil added that Ahmad Irfan remains under medical care at the hospital, but declined to comment further on his condition.

“I’m not in a position to say anything. I’ll leave it to Ahmad Irfan’s parents to speak on that,” he said.

Earlier on 7 September, Selangor police confirmed that investigation papers related to the incident had been referred to the State Prosecution Director for further instructions.

Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar previously stated that the investigation had been completed and was awaiting a decision from the prosecutors.

The police had earlier said that multiple angles were being explored in the case, including the safety protocols of the boarding school, hostel management practices, and the social background of the victim and his peers. - September 18, 2025
