MARANG –The body of would-be groom Naim Hariri Kamaruddin, 31, was found at Pantai Alur Tuman at 8.55am today, some 3km from where he was reported missing on Friday.

Marang district police chief Mohd Zain Mat Dris said the victim’s father, Kamaruddin Abdullah, 59, was called to confirm that the body was his son’s.

“The body did not have any injuries, and will be sent to the forensics unit of Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital for further action,” he told reporters here.

“As the search-and-rescue operation at Pantai Kelulut has ended, we will now focus on our search for another man at Pantai Jambu Bongkok.”

Zain and four other rescue personnel discovered Naim Hariri’s remains while patrolling the area.

Naim Hariri, who arrived in Terengganu on Thursday, had been scheduled to wed Fatin Nabilah Huda Ismail, 27, at Kg Surau Haji Mat Zin Mosque in Bukit Payung yesterday. – Bernama, December 27, 2020
