AN elderly man and his two sons were brought before the Kota Bahru Sessions Court today on charges of sexually assaulting his two daughters in Pasir Puteh, between last year and last September.
All three accused, however, pleaded not guilty and requested to stand trial after the charges were read out before Judge Zulkifli Abdullah.
The 65-year-old father is facing two charges for allegedly physically assaulting his two daughters, now aged 12 and 16, in the living room of a house in Pasir Puteh, between 2pm and 3pm last July.
Meanwhile, two sons, aged 24 and 33, are facing one charge each for committing the same act against their 16-year-old sister, in separate incidents at the same location, in the middle of last year and on 19 September, between 12.15am and 12.30am.
All charges were brought under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792), which provides for a maximum prison sentence of 20 years and whipping, if convicted.
Deputy Public Prosecutor, Siti Hajar Mazlan did not offer bail for all the accused as this case is non-bailable, while the three accused were represented by Nik Mohamad Naqib Mohamad Noor.
The court set November 6 as the date for re-mention. - October 7, 2025
