THE Ministry of Finance has announced that the retail prices of petrol and diesel will remain unchanged for the period from 16 to 22 October 2025, in line with the Government’s ongoing efforts to stabilise domestic fuel prices amid global market fluctuations.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry confirmed that prices are being maintained based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, which reflects global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates.
The retail price of RON97 petrol will remain at RM3.18 per litre, while the price of non-subsidised RON95 petrol is fixed at RM2.60 per litre. For eligible consumers under the BUDI95 targeted subsidy scheme, the retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol remains at RM1.99 per litre.
Diesel prices also remain unchanged, with Peninsular Malaysia set at RM2.93 per litre, and Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan at RM2.15 per litre.
“The Government will continue to monitor global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people,” the Ministry said. - October 15, 2025
