YAP Shing Xuen, 16 - the victim of the fatal school stabbing incident in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya will be cremated today at the Nirvana Crematorium in Shah Alam.

According to reports, well-wishers paid their last respects last night as the three-day wake concluded.

Police have since remanded the 14-year-old suspect involved in the incident on Oct 14, while a pathology report is expected in a month.

The victim's mother, Wong Lee Ping, claimed that her daughter had suffered about 200 stab wounds and also urged the public to refrain from spreading false information or rumours about the case. – October 20, 2025
