A 15-YEAR-old girl being investigated for the stabbing of a student at a secondary school in Banting was brought to the Telok Datok Magistrate's Court to face charges.

The teenager, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and had her face covered, was brought to court at 8.32 am, accompanied by police officers.

She was previously remanded for four days starting July 7, and the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code.

The media, who arrived early, were not allowed into the court to follow the prosecution proceedings as the case involved a juvenile accused.

It was earlier reported that dissatisfaction towards a friend was believed to be the cause of the stabbing of a female Form Three student at a secondary school in Banting, Kuala Langat, last Monday.

Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Shazeli Kahar, said that based on initial investigations, it was found that the incident was not related to bullying. – July 10, 2026
