Budget 2027: Civil servants to receive RM1,500 special aid; retirees, RM750

Payment of this Special Financial Assistance will be made in two instalments - October 9, 2026

THE government has agreed to provide a Special Financial Assistance payment of RM1,500 to 1.3 million civil servants in 'Premier Grade B' and below, including those on contract appointments.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that assistance of RM750 would also be provided to over one million government retirees, including both pensioned and non-pensioned veterans.

“In recognition of the contributions made by civil servants, the government has agreed to provide a Special Financial Assistance payment of RM1,500 to 1.3 million civil servants in 'Premier Grade B' and below, including those on contract appointments."

“A Special Financial Assistance of RM750 is also being provided to over one million government retirees, including both pensioned and non-pensioned veterans.

“Payment of this Special Financial Assistance will be made in two instalments: before Aidilfitri and in conjunction with the lead-up to the 70th Anniversary of Merdeka”, he said during the tabling of the 2027 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat today. – October 9, 2026
