THE police have not yet received the chemical analysis related to the liquid reportedly injected into the son of former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli during an attack at a shopping centre in Puchong on 13 August.
Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, said authorities are still awaiting the results from the Chemistry Department of Malaysia.
“Still negative, we are still waiting. If there are any developments we will inform [the public],” he said at a press conference at Bukit Aman today.
On 25 August, media reports noted that the Ministry of Health had urged the public to be patient while awaiting the full medical report on the attack.
Its Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, reportedly said that the investigative process, including medical reports, requires time to ensure all findings are thoroughly assessed.
The police confirmed that Rafizi’s only son, aged 12, was attacked at a shopping centre in Putrajaya on 13 August.
Mohd Khalid stated that 19 individuals have been called in for questioning, including members of Rafizi’s family, the driver, and staff, while investigators continue to review CCTV footage from the location.
The identity of the suspect involved remains unknown, partly due to unclear CCTV footage. - October 24, 2025
