PARTI Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Machang Division has proposed stricter action against Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal by expelling the MP for continuing to issue statements attacking the party president.
Bersatu Machang Division Chief, Kamaruddin Ab Kadir said that his party believes that strict action should be taken by the disciplinary board to preserve the party's harmony and dignity from being further tarnished by open statements that could mislead members and the people.
"The disciplinary board should consider stern action against Wan Ahmad Fayhsal.
"He was seen continuing to issue statements attacking Tan Sri Muhyiddin during the Zaid Ibrahim Podcast even during the suspension period," he said in a statement on Thursday.
According to him, the Machang Division described the accusation against Muhyiddin that the party's election was 'very dirty and disgusting' as a serious and inappropriate allegation, not to mention coming from a leader who had received great opportunities and trust from the party president.
Kamaruddin said his party also called on all party leaders and members to maintain etiquette and discipline in politics as well as avoid making open statements that could affect internal unity.
"We need to show an example of good leadership and respect the party's decisions.
"All issues need to be resolved through the right channels," he said.
He also stressed that Bersatu Machang Division remains fully supportive of Muhyiddin's leadership and the party's legitimate leadership.
Previously, the Bersatu Disciplinary Board expelled the Tasek Gelugor MP, Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan, and suspended Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, who is also the Machang MP, for one term.
The action is believed to be related to the affidavit issue linked to efforts to push for the party president's resignation. - October 30, 2025
