THE Dewan Rakyat is set to deliberate on the progress of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) targeted fuel subsidy programme and Malaysia’s performance as the 2025 ASEAN Chair in today’s parliamentary sitting.
According to the Order Paper published on Parliament’s official website, Bukit Bendera Member of Parliament Syerleena Abdul Rashid will question the Prime Minister during the Ministers’ Question Time on the first month’s progress of the BUDI95 initiative.
She is also expected to seek clarification on measures taken to address eligibility concerns involving specific groups, including airport taxi drivers, e-hailing operators and river boat services.
Meanwhile, Kubang Pasu MP Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail is scheduled to raise questions regarding Malaysia’s accomplishments and benefits as ASEAN Chair, as well as the outcomes of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting held in South Korea, which was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Subang MP Wong Chen is also expected to ask whether the Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to convene a meeting with other ASEAN nations to coordinate fundraising efforts for Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
Following the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat will continue with the winding-up debate on the Supply Bill (Budget) 2026 at the policy stage by the respective ministries.
The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament will run for 35 days and is scheduled to conclude on 4 December. - November 4, 2025
