BONES thought to be human were recently found on a slope along the northbound lane of the Kajang-Seremban Expressway (LEKAS) at kilometre 24.5.

Nilai District Police Chief, Superintendent Abdul Malik Hashim, said authorities received a report about the discovery at 11.35am on 2 November from a highway cleaning worker who came across the incomplete skeleton at the location.

“Preliminary investigations at the scene found several bones grouped together, believed to be human. No identification documents were recovered, and the identity of the victim remains unknown. Further inspection of the area did not reveal any elements of criminal activity,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

Abdul Malik added that, to date, there are no leads in the case. The bones have been sent to a forensics laboratory for testing.
