A VIDEO showing a man performing silat-like movements in an Muslim cemetery in Kluang, Johor has gone viral on social media, raising questions among the public.
The 27-second video was recorded by a road user and uploaded to social media on Friday.
The footage shows a man wearing a jacket and helmet standing in a grave area while performing several hand and foot movements.
Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Exco, Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid, when contacted, said they would ask the Kluang District Kadi to investigate the matter to ensure that there were no elements that contradicted etiquette in the cemetery.
The video has also prompted various reactions, including concerns about etiquette and sensitivity in cemeteries, as well as the possibility that the individual involved may need help from authorities or family members. – November 23, 2025
