BARISAN Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is on track to retain the Lamag state seat, according to unofficial results.

The BN Sabah chairman recorded 294 votes in the early tally, placing him ahead of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s (GRS) Johainizamshah Johari, who secured 239 votes. Independent candidate Miha @ Mohd Ismail Ayob followed with 96 votes, while Warisan’s Saifulah Lokman collected 29.

Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) Mazlin Madali received six votes, and Parti Impian Sabah (PIS) candidate Salahuddin @ Salehuddin Anoi had yet to register any votes at the time of reporting.

The Lamag constituency has 13,859 registered voters, with 664 ballots counted so far.

Bung Moktar, the incumbent, is facing a six-way contest in this election. The early lead marks BN’s first reported gain since polling centres closed at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. – November 29, 2025
