Umno announces new leadership for Sabah: Datuk Jafry Ariffin as chairman

UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has agreed to appoint a new leadership line-up for the Sabah Umno

This was done in accordance with Clause 12.5 of the party Constitution.

Party Secretary-General, Datuk Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki announced Datuk Jafry Ariffin as the new state chairman and Datuk Mohd Hasnol Ayub as the deputy.

“The appointments aim to ensure continuity of the administration, strengthen party coordination and coordinate Umno's work in Sabah in a more organized and effective manner.

"Umno calls on all party leaders and members to provide full support to this new leadership to ensure that Umno can continue to provide the best service to the people and support the Sabah State government," added Asyraf. – December 10, 2025
