RESIDENTS in Bukit Jalil were left horrified today after what is believed to be the body of a newborn baby was discovered in the back of a garbage truck.
The infant, thought to have been recently born, was found in a fetal-like position, partially submerged in liquid waste.
Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan, confirmed the discovery occurred at approximately 12.51pm when a worker from Alam Flora was emptying rubbish.
“The case is still under investigation. Updates will be provided,” he said in a statement.
The public has been urged to come forward with any information related to the incident, and may contact the investigating officer, Insp.
