BEWARE of scammers. A woman ins Johor Bahru was recently shocked when a man suddenly ran and threw himself on her car as she was driving.

The incident took place about 7.36am in the Mount Austin area on Jan 1.

Videos of the incident which have since gone viral show the man standing by the roadside and suddenly running towards the car as he saw it approaching.

He then throws himself on the bonnet, pretending to have been knocked down.

Realising she had been scammed, the woman later lodged a report and shared her dashcam footage with the police.

Netizens commented, with many emphasising the importance of having dashcams. - January 2, 2026
