THE Umno supreme council special meeting received and heard reports from council members who attended the meetings of the Women's, Youth, and Puteri wings.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi said all motions raised by delegates from the three wings were also deliberated at the meeting.

"Another important agenda was the discussion on the president's policy speech, which will be delivered on Friday (Jan 16)," he said when met after the meeting at the party's headquarters here last night, reported by Bernama.

The meeting was chaired by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and attended by the party's top leadership, including deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and information chief Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

Ahmad Zahid is scheduled to deliver his presidential policy speech today.

The 2025 Umno General Assembly is being held from Jan 14 to 17 at the World Trade Centre (WTC) here, after being postponed twice in August and November to allow the party to focus on preparations for the 17th Sabah Election.

A total of 6,412 delegates have registered, comprising 2,928 delegates for the Umno General Assembly 2025 and Wanita (1,165), Youth (1,173) and Puteri (1,146) wings. – January 16, 2026
