THE families of two prominent Malaysian politicians were united through marriage this week.

Sabrina, who is the niece of former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, exchanged vows with Yusuf, the son of Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.

The union brought together two influential political lineages - a former defence minister and a former Selangor Menteri Besar.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Hishammuddin described the occasion as a meaningful family gathering.

“A beautiful evening with siblings, relatives and friends.

“Together, we witnessed the special moment of my niece, Sabrina, exchanging vows with her chosen partner, Yusuf,” he wrote on his official social media account.

Hishammuddin also congratulated the parents, his siblings, Datuk Haris Onn Hussein and Datin Shazlin, as well as new in-laws Azmin and Datin Seri Shamshida Taharin.

“Congratulations to my sibling. May this bond bring Sabrina and Yusuf love, happiness and countless blessings,” the caption added. – January 24, 2026
