A BUSINESSWOMAN who was detained by the Road Transport Department (RTD) said she had ‘overlooked’ the renewal of her road tax and insurance since 2018.

Kuala Lumpur RTD director, Hamidi Adam, said the woman who was driving a Bentley Continental was arrested in the Ops Khas Luxury at Jalan Tun Razak.

According to him, a check found that the vehicle belonged to her and she had an expired road tax with no insurance coverage or Competent Driving License (CDL).

"Investigation found that the road tax and insurance for the luxury vehicle had not been renewed since 2018.

"The woman gave the excuse that she overlooked it because previously the renewals were handled by the family," he said in a statement today.

He said the vehicle involved was seized for further action in accordance with the Road Transport Act 1987. – February 9, 2026
