AFTER being sacked from Bersatu, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin is scheduled to hold a briefing on the party's direction and political reset, today.

Through an invitation to the media, the briefing will also involve several members of Parliament, division heads and State Assemblymen (ADUNs) from the party.

The briefing is set to take place at the Universiti Malaya Alumni Association (PAUM) Club House, Kuala Lumpur at around 2pm.

At the same time, Bersatu is also holding a special meeting of the Supreme Leadership Council (MPT) to discuss important agendas related to the party's direction at around 10am at the residence of President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin.

The matter was announced through a meeting notice issued by Secretary-General Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali on Friday night.

It is understood that among the main agendas was for Muhyiddin to provide an explanation regarding the party's political developments as Bersatu faces increasing attention.

On Friday, the Bersatu Disciplinary Board announced the sacking of 17 members including Deputy President Hamzah.

The Larut MP was dismissed from party membership under Clause 22.5 of the Bersatu Constitution because the Larut MP's actions violated Clause 9.1.4 of the Bersatu Constitution.

According to Clause 9.1.4, every member is required to comply with the party's Constitution as well as the Party Members' Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. – February 14, 2026
