A DUCATI Monster 795 motorcyclist died after the machine he was riding crashed into a four-wheel drive on Jalan Wakaf Tembesu, Kuala Terengganu, this morning.
Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor said that in the 11.50 am incident, the victim, Muhammad Anuar Hashim, 34, failed to avoid the four-wheel drive that exited the left junction of the road.
It is understood that the Nissan Navara 4WD was driven by a 51-year-old woman from her home in Setiu towards a plastics shop in Wakaf Tembesu.
“Meanwhile, the victim from his home in Teluk Pasu was heading towards his workplace at Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA).
“As a result of the incident, the victim suffered serious injuries and died at the scene,” he said.
He said that the victim’s body was taken to the Sultan Zainal Abidin Hospital (HoSZA) for a post-mortem and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – February 25, 2026
