POLICE have launched an extensive manhunt following a harrowing incident in which a young teenager was allegedly lured, imprisoned, and sexually assaulted at an apartment complex in Bukit Kemuning.

The fourteen-year-old victim managed to orchestrate a daring escape after being held captive for approximately three hours, alerting neighbours to his plight by screaming through a bedroom window.

The ordeal began on Wednesday morning when the suspect reportedly approached the boy with a deceptive offer regarding a mobile internet package.

CCTV footage captured the pair walking together at about 8.05 am, shortly before the victim was led into the suspect's residence under the pretence of assisting with moving household items.

Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol, confirmed that the authorities were alerted to the situation at midday.

Preliminary investigations suggest a calculated abduction where the victim was rendered helpless almost immediately upon entering the premises.

Ramsay said the victim was tied by his hands and feet before being subjected to a suspected sodomy attack.

While the suspect was away or otherwise occupied, leaving the victim alone in the residence, the boy successfully loosened his restraints and sought help from the window.

Neighbours who heard the victim’s cries for assistance intervened and contacted the police, leading to the teenager's rescue.

Ramsay stated in a formal address today that the suspect has been identified and efforts to track his whereabouts are currently intensified.

The case is being investigated under multiple provisions of the Penal Code, including Section 342 for wrongful confinement, Section 377C for carnal intercourse against the order of nature, and Section 323 for voluntarily causing hurt. - May 13, 2026
