HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has today received Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi in an audience held at Istana Pasir Pelangi, where the Sultan was briefed on the state’s latest economic performance, development initiatives and progress in public welfare programmes.

According to a posting on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, the briefing covered Johor’s economic achievements, development trajectory and ongoing efforts by the state government to enhance the well-being of the people.

“This audience session is part of the regular series of meetings between His Majesty and state leadership to obtain the latest updates on administrative affairs as well as development reports of the state,” the posting stated.

The royal update further emphasised that the welfare of the people remains a central priority for Sultan Ibrahim.

In line with this commitment, various welfare initiatives will continue to be implemented through the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor, Yayasan Sultanah Fatimah, and Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah, all of which play key roles in supporting those in need and easing the burden of communities across the state.

The engagement forms part of the customary and periodic consultations between the Johor royal household and state leadership, ensuring continued oversight of governance matters and development planning in the state. - June 7, 2026
