A VIRAL message using the name and image of Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, offering congratulations and support to Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin for organising the Reset Convention, is fake.

This was confirmed by Mohd Ikhmal Abu Bakar - Muhyiddin’s media officer, who said the post featuring a picture of Muhyiddin with the congratulations was not true.

Earlier, a poster featuring a picture of Muhyiddin with congratulations to the Larut MP went viral in conjunction with the organisation of the first Reset Convention.

The poster also contained several paragraphs of a statement in English, which supposedly represented the Bersatu President's stance on the programme.

The content, among other things, claimed that the convention was an important platform to discuss national reform, governance, economic resilience and the future direction of Malaysia.

In addition, the poster also contained a statement purporting to represent Muhyiddin, calling on delegates, participants and supporters of Reset to continue to stand firmly behind the struggle and aspirations of  Perikatan Nasional (PN).
