ALL foreign nationals seeking entry into Malaysia will continue to undergo immigration screening, security checks and comprehensive risk assessments, particularly in cases involving Israeli citizens, said the Home Ministry (KDN).

The ministry said individuals found to pose a threat to national security, public order or national interests, or those classified as prohibited immigrants under Section 8 of the Immigration Act 1959/1963, would be denied entry or face action under the law.

KDN said it fully supported the MADANI government’s position on Israel and Malaysia’s commitment to defending Palestinian rights while protecting national interests.

“Aligned with this position, KDN will continue ensuring border control, immigration inspections, law enforcement and domestic security measures are carried out firmly, professionally and without compromise,” it said in a statement today.

The ministry said the Immigration Department would continue enforcing regulations governing foreign entry under the Immigration Act 1959/1963, Passport Act 1966, existing immigration regulations and security assessments conducted by relevant national security agencies.

KDN also reiterated that travel documents issued by Israel are not recognised for entry into Malaysia, in line with the country’s policy of maintaining no diplomatic relations with Israel.

The ministry said border management was not solely an immigration matter but part of a wider national security framework involving agencies, including the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), National Security Council (MKN), Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) and other enforcement bodies.

“KDN remains committed to strengthening border controls through technology, intelligence sharing, risk profiling and integrated enforcement to ensure Malaysia remains safe, sovereign and protected from any threats,” it said. – July 28, 2026
