PAKATAN Harapan (PH) leaders have accepted collective responsibility following the coalition’s defeat in the Negeri Sembilan state election, saying the result should not trigger a blame game within the party.
PH election director Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the leadership must take ownership of the outcome instead of singling out individuals, groups or factions for the setback.
He said the responsibility extended across the coalition, from its top leadership to the grassroots level.
“This is not the time to point fingers at any individual, group or camp.
“We will take responsibility as a collective leadership, from the highest levels right down to the grassroots,” he told reporters at the PH operations centre tonight.
Amirudin also thanked Negeri Sembilan voters for taking part in the election, while praising the Election Commission (EC), security personnel, media, volunteers and party machinery involved in ensuring the polls went smoothly.
He said PH was still waiting for the official results from the EC, but based on the latest count, the coalition was leading in 11 seats.
“Those 11 seats are not official yet, but based on our assessment of the tally, they are almost certain to be won by PH,” he said. - August 1, 2026
