APIMS data show moderate air quality across 63 areas on Friday morning - October 2, 2026

AIR quality remained at moderate levels across 63 areas nationwide as at 5am today, including several locations in the Klang Valley, according to the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS).

The affected areas included locations in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as Perak and Negeri Sembilan.

Five areas, meanwhile, recorded good air quality — Labuan, Miri and Limbang in Sarawak, and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.

Under the Air Pollutant Index (API) classification, readings of 0 to 50 are considered good, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy and 301 and above hazardous. - October 2, 2026
