Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said individuals who are close contacts of a positive patient must undergo a 14-day home quarantine. – The Vibes, September 26, 2020.

KUALA LUMPUR – Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today confirmed the implementation of mandatory quarantine and testing of travellers arriving from Sabah. 

"Travellers from Sabah will have to undergo a Covid-19 screening at the airport, and while awaiting results, they will need to undergo home quarantine," Noor Hisham told The Vibes. 

He said individuals are required to self-quarantine until the test returns negative.

However, if an individual tests positive he would be brought to the hospital for treatment. 

"Individuals who are close contacts of a positive patient must undergo a 14-day home quarantine," he added. – The Vibes, September 26, 2020.
