No love for Anifah as Kah Kiat loses deposit
Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) lost every one of the 46 seats it contested.

KOTA KINABALU – Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) was blown into smithereens after losing all the 73 seats it contested.

Going into the election as the party to watch, PCS lead by Datuk Seri Anifah Aman fizzled out in all the seats it contested.

Anifah himself lost his Bongawan seat to Warisan’s Daud Yusuf.

Anifah polled 3,598 votes to Daud’s 5,400 votes in a four cornered fight.

The younger brother of former chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman and former Foreign Minister was tipped to be a major player in the state elections.

However, he and all PCS candidates lost their bid.

Meanwhile another veteran politician was not spared the blushes. Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) lost every one of the 46 seats it contested.

Chong even lost his deposit in the Inanam seat. He polled just 1,606 to PKR’s Peto Galim who garnered 8,586 in a crowded field of 10 candidates.

LDP had fielded mainly young, untested first timers. Chong had contested on a platform of governance and integrity and better Federal-State relations. – The Vibes, September 27, 2020.
