KUALA LUMPUR – Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin has tested positive for Covid-19, less than a week after three ministers were confirmed positive for the disease.

In a Facebook post today, Zahidi said he got the test result this morning, and that he is now being treated at Sg Buloh Hospital.

He is said to be in stable condition.

He underwent screening on Monday after arriving here from Penang.

An earlier test, on December 25 last year, returned negative.

Yesterday, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said he tested positive for the coronavirus.

On Monday, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun confirmed her diagnosis, with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed doing the same on Sunday. – The Vibes, January 13, 2021
