MIRI – Some 3kg of drugs were uncovered following a raid by Miri police at an entertainment centre in the city.

The raid, shortly before midnight yesterday was conducted at a premise at Centrepoint Commercial Centre.

Two suspects, a man and a woman, have been arrested and brought to the central police station.

Police found an assortment of drugs in packets and bottles hidden inside the building.

Miri police chief Hakemal Hawari told reporters that the case was being probed under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act, which carries the death sentence upon conviction. – The Vibes, March 7, 2021
