KOTA KINABALU – Lawmakers attending the November 2 to December 15 Parliament session will need to fly in earlier, in line with the National Security Council’s (NSC) requirement for Sabah MPs to undergo swab tests and spend two weeks in isolation upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur.

Kota Kinabalu MP, Chan Foong Hin said he will be out of his constituency for close to two months, in adherence to this standard operating procedure (SOP).

All Sabah MPs are required to be in Kuala Lumpur latest by October 17.

“ I will be out of my constituency for two months until the sitting ends on December 15.

“Because of the rise in Covid-19 cases in Sabah, the state MPs now need to be in KL early to undergo the 14-day quarantine before the parliament session begins,” he said.

The 2021 National Budget is expected to be tabled during the coming sitting, as well as the unveiling of the 12th Malaysia Plan.
