KOTA KINABALU – The Health Ministry must come clean over death reports linked to Covid-19 vaccines, said Sabah PKR Youth information chief Razeef Rakimin.
He said there was no guarantee that families of the victims would be informed that the cause of death was linked to the vaccine as the government was constantly denying this.
“Before this, there were many cases of those who had died after getting their vaccines.
“Deaths were caused by heart attacks and blocked arteries and most often, the vaccines are denied as being the cause of death.
“Most of these were categorised as sudden deaths,” said Razeef, adding that the deaths usually happened after getting vaccinated.
He cited the death of Olympic archer Haziq Kamaruddin, which health officials say has no link to the Covid-19 vaccine.

The post-mortem said he died of a blocked coronary artery and there was no link to the vaccine that he and other athletes had received recently.
Razeef said that despite several cases of sudden death after receiving the vaccines, the victims’ families would not be compensated if the deaths linked to the vaccines were denied.
“The vaccine would not be said to be the cause of death if it was caused by chronic health issues, even after the vaccination.
“Certainly experts will not outright declare the vaccine as the cause of death as it is not poisonous,” he said.
The government has vowed to compensate up to RM500,000 for those experiencing severe side effects, permanent disability, or death, while RM50,000 will be given to those who were hospitalised as a result of being inoculated with Covid-19 vaccines. – The Vibes, May 18, 2021
