KUALA LUMPUR – The Health Ministry has released a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a digital exemption certificate in view of individuals who are unable to get the Covid-19 vaccine due to medical reasons.
The ministry in a tweet today advised individuals with such health conditions to bring their pre-vaccination assessment (PVA) slip for verification by registered medical practitioners.
They are then required to bring the certified PVA slip to the district health office to apply for a digital vaccine exemption certificate, which will be processed by MySejahtera within a week.
This comes after Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin yesterday said individuals unable to get the Covid-19 jab due to medical reasons can get an exemption certificate via MySejahtera once their health condition is validated by specialists.

He was responding to Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis @ Fakharudy (Kota Belud-Warisan) during the question-and-answer session in the Dewan Rakyat. The latter asked about alternatives for individuals who cannot get the shot due to medical reasons, and whether there are documents specifically for the group to move about in public.
To a supplementary question from Isnaraissah, Khairy said those who are fully immunised but do not have digital devices to show their e-certificate can produce the vaccination card issued to them at jab sites.
Those who lose the card should lodge a report at the district health office, he said. – The Vibes, October 5, 2021
