GEORGE TOWN – A 47-year-old former photographer had bits of his genitals sliced off during a drug-induced party early yesterday at the Bandar Baru Farlim marketplace here, said police.

Northeast district police chief Soffian Santong said authorities believe a 38-year-old woman used a pair of scissors on the man after the two had taken some drugs.

Police said the victim met the woman around 6.30am yesterday at his office near the marketplace, and decided to have a drug-fuelled party that caused the victim to pass out.

Authorities said when he came to, he was in pain and found blood dripping from his genitals, and called police.

Soffian said the victim’s genitals remained intact.

“The victim has been admitted to Penang Hospital as a precaution. He also has a record of needing psychiatric treatment,” said Soffian.

Meanwhile, authorities have confiscated some items, including a pair of scissors, from the victim’s office.

Soffian said the woman was picked up in Paya Terubong at 9am yesterday.

She tested positive for drugs and has a record for drug-related offences, he added.

The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt. – The Vibes, November 14, 2020
