KUALA LUMPUR – A total of 27 areas in the Kuala Langat and Sepang regions in Selangor will experience scheduled water supply disruptions starting from 9pm on November 24 (Tuesday) until 5.30pm the following day (November 25).

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) corporate communications head Elina Baseri said this was to facilitate work to replace the valve at the distribution pipes at the intersection of Jalan Indah 1, Jalan B48 Pekan Sepang Lama, to be conducted at 9pm on Nov 24.

She said the valve’s replacement was necessary to ensure the water supply distribution system ran smoothly.

Elina also said the duration of the water supply disruption and restoration would vary according to areas and depending on the water pressure at the distribution system.

The areas that will be affected in Kuala Langat are Kg Kudang, Tanjung Sepat New Village, Taman Pelangi, Taman Tanjung Sepat Indah, Bedford Estate, and Kg Tanjung Layang.

Other areas are the Gadong Estate Quarters, Kg Batu Laut, Batu Estate, Tanjung Sepat Orang Asli Village, Kg Tanjung Sepat Darat, Tanjung Sepat Police Barracks, Kg Batu Untung, Taman Batu Untung, Taman Tanjung, Taman Mutiara, Kg Tumbuk, and Taman Kanchong Laut.

For Sepang, the areas are Kg Bukit Bangkong, Kg Orang Asli Bukit Bangkong, Princess Haliza PLKN Camp Ulu Teris, Kg Hulu Teris, Tanjung Rhu, Taman Seri Sg Pelek, Kg Ulu Chuchoh, Pekan Sg Pelek and Kg Baru Sg Pelek.

Air Selangor advised affected consumers to store water and to use water sparingly during the scheduled water disruption.
