KUALA LUMPUR – Perak ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah has sworn in 10 members of the state executive council – with seven from Pakatan Harapan (PH) and three from Barisan Nasional (BN).

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Istana Iskandariah today, where PH-DAP Canning assemblyman Jenny Choy was appointed as the state deputy speaker.

The excos from PH are:

1. Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin – Sg Rapat (Amanah)
2. Azlan Helmi – Tualang Sekah (PKR)
3. Sandrea Ng Shy Ching – Teja (PKR)
4. Sivanesan A/L Achalingam – Sungkai (DAP)
5. Teh Kok Lim – Aulong (DAP)
6. Loh Sze Yee – Jalong (DAP
7. Woo Kah Leong – Pasir Bedamar (DAP)

From BN, the three excos are:

1. Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun – Lintang (Umno)
2. Salbiah Mohamed – Temengor (Umno)
3. Khairuddin Abu Hanipah – Belanja (Umno)

Their respective portfolios will only be decided after the first exco meeting.

Currently, Datuk Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid still serves as the caretaker speaker and will continue in his role until the first state assembly meeting. – The Vibes, November 22, 2022
