KUALA LUMPUR – The Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) will begin collecting toll charges from this midnight, concessionaire Projek Lintasan Damansara-Shah Alam Sdn Bhd said today.

Toll charges will begin from RM2.30 for cars, excluding taxis, the company said in a statement.

Additionally, lorries will be charged RM4.60, trailers (RM6.90), Class 4 cars (RM1.20), and buses (RM2.30).

Tolls will be charged at three DASH toll plazas namely Denai Alam toll plaza, RRIM toll plaza (Kawasan Damansara), and Kota Damansara toll plaza.

DASH said that the toll charges will be carried out entirely electronically using Touch ‘N Go cards, SmartTAGs, and RFID.

Highway users are advised to ensure their Touch ‘N Go and e-wallet balances are sufficient before entering the DASH highway.

“The DASH highway operations division will make sure that the toll collection system at all three toll plazas works smoothly all the time.

“Officers will also be stationed in the toll plaza lanes in both directions of the highway, especially during peak hours, to help drivers who have problems.”

Previously the government had announced at DASH’s opening ceremony that the 20.1-km highway would be free to users from 14 October until today.

DASH is one of the six expressways operated by Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd, the largest highway operator in the Klang Valley. – The Vibes, November 30, 2022
