KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu has opened its doors to former Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa after he was sacked from Umno.

Umno during its Supreme Council meeting last night sacked Annuar for speaking against president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi during the recently concluded 15th general election (GE15).

Bersatu supreme council member Muhammad Faiz Na’aman in a Facebook post said Annuar’s efforts to promote “Alif Baa Taa” within Umno were fruitless and his contributions were not valued.

He said switching parties was not a new thing for politicians and invited Annuar to move to Perikatan National for the sake of “Alif Baa Taa’s” fight.

Faiz also posted a sarcastic message urging Umno leaders to remove the remaining party until they no longer have a leader.

He also criticised Umno for sacking its own party leaders.

Today, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan confirmed Annuar was one of the three Umno division leaders sacked by the Supreme Council for tarnishing the party’s image.

The other two are Arau Wanita Umno head Datuk Seri Shamsiah Yasin and her Maran counterpart Datin Seri Fatimah Kassim. This is after the duo supported the candidates of an opposing party in GE15. – The Vibes, December 9, 2022
