KUALA LUMPUR – People’s Progressive Party (myPPP) will activate its machinery to assist Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates in the upcoming state elections.

MyPPP president Datuk Seri Maglin Dennis D’Cruz said the party has a strong machinery in four states: Kedah, Penang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan.

“In Selangor, we have 80,000 members. In the Federal Territories (we have) 20,000 members, (and) in Penang there are 30,000 members.

“That’s why I stressed the importance of supporting unity government candidates and helping them to win as changing the government will result in economic loss,” he said at a media conference after meeting with Federal Territories myPPP branch chiefs here today.

The meeting was part of a series of roadshows in the second of eight states that have been reactivated after a four-year absence after the party was deregistered by the Registrar of Societies in 2019.

Maglin also urged his members to continue to support the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and to ensure that PH and BN candidates emerge victorious in the upcoming state elections.
