MIRI – A 14-year-old boy who is already drug-dependent and has criminal records was among 19 gang members arrested by police in Kuching.

Kuching district police chief Ahsmon Bajah today said the 19 are part of “Geng Jalil” busted by cops yesterday and today in various locations in Kuching.

The 19 male gang members are aged from 14 to 49, he told a press conference at his office.

“They are all drug-dependent and also have past criminal records. They were arrested for vehicle thefts, house break-ins, stealing power cables, and others.

“We have seized numerous stolen properties from them,” he said.

Ahsmon said while investigations are ongoing, police believe they have solved numerous criminal cases in Kuching with the arrest of the gang members. – The Vibes, August 2, 2023
