MELAKA – The Melaka government announced a special aid of RM300 to state civil servants which will be paid before August 10.

Without specifying the date, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the aid for 7,190 civil servants will involve an allocation of RM2.16 million.

He said it is also extended to local authorities and state statutory bodies.

“In line with the federal government’s announcement, the state government will provide special assistance to all civil servants in Melaka.

“This special assistance proves that the government always appreciates civil servants whether they are still serving or those who have retired from the service,” he told reporters after officiating the Melaka government monthly assembly here today.

On July 27, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim when launching Madani Economy: Empowering the People, announced special assistance of RM300 to civil servants grade 56 and below including contract appointees and RM200 for government retirees. – Bernama, August 3, 2023
